Two of our illustrious members have been busy, elsewhere. Dave Mascall has been playing mainstream jazz and jazz funk. If you are on Facebook, check out Dave's page for more details of his great gigs. He is leading a monthly residency at The Lounge Bar in Aviation Way, Southend. His band there is called The Acid Lounge Band. Great band, nice venue and good grub:
Alan Clarke has been playing jazz too, at Sands on Southend seafront. This is also a monthly event, with well-nown Southend musos, plus great guests. It is masterminded by our old pal Digby Fairweather. Alan also recently presented his old band C-Level in a new incarnation, at The Royal Hotel, Southend. They were superb. Da Management still fly the flag for Music From The Golden Era Of Pop - 50s, 60s and 70s Classics. It was a terrific time in which to grow up.
